Whirlwind

Wow..
This has been a very crazy day.. it seemed like almost every other hour I found out some either really good or bad news..
But, I think I will keep the good and try to forget the rest..
The last piece of good news I got (which I found in my mailbox, like, minutes ago) is that Indiana University has received my application for this program that provides fee-waivers to underrepresented applicants to particular midwest schools. The organization is called the Committee on Institutional Cooperation, which I suppose is a consortium of Big Ten schools + the University of Chicago (according to the header at the top of the website)..

In other news.. today was FREEZING.. DANG, man.. the AccuWeather Real Feel(TM) low was in the twenties. THE TWENTIES, MAN!!

And what was up with that attempted kidnapping/hostage situation at the Mexican consulate in Los Angeles?

Well, anyway.. I have to go to Chili's and decompress -- I have a long night of the first two R's ahead of me tonight..

more gripes

I'm having some problems with technology these days.. My Launch radio player has been skipping, and simply won't play with any consistency on my home computer. I'm also having trouble here getting my profile to notice my newest posts.. I guess simply the will to engage in new technological passtimes is not enough.. it actually takes preserverance - a resource I should be using on other things..

Once again.. I am going to try to start blogging..
If you look at the history of my past posts, you'll see that my life as a blogger has been in fits and starts..
It's a bit weird feeling to be writing to an unknown audience, and putting yourself out there -- this odd struggle to somehow remain anonymous and at the same time express yourself..
Somehow, this is an activity/movement I nevertheless feel compelled to participate in..
